Consent must be informed, voluntary and ongoing. Do not tattoo anyone who is intoxicated, coerced, unable to understand the decision or whose skin is compromised.

Apprentices

Reputable training includes supervision, feedback and safe boundaries. Treat unpaid labour, pressure to work on clients and requests to bypass hygiene as red flags.

When in doubt

Pause, explain the concern and seek qualified medical, safeguarding or studio support. The safest decision is often to postpone.
