THE PROFESSIONAL ROUTE

Paper before machines. Safety before skin.

This is pre-apprenticeship preparation, not a route into tattooing at home. A reputable studio and experienced mentor should govern practical progression.

Draw first

Build observation, composition, value, line confidence and design-for-the-body skills on paper. A machine cannot repair a weak drawing.

BBP first

Learn bloodborne-pathogen control, hand hygiene, cross-contamination, sharps, exposure response and local requirements before powered practice.

Training media

Use quality synthetic skin as the primary medium under mentor guidance. Fruit is only a limited curvature and stencil exercise. Pig skin is biological material, not a casual home substitute.

Studio apprenticeship

Progress through a legitimate hygienic studio with experienced supervision, registration, insurance and local compliance before any work on human skin.

Human skin is not a practice medium. A Train 2 Tattoo certificate records an online knowledge checkpoint only; it is not BBP certification, a tattoo licence or evidence of practical competence.

What is Train 2 Tattoo?+

Train 2 Tattoo is a seven-course online pre-apprenticeship theory library for aspiring tattoo apprentices. It develops safety knowledge, craft vocabulary and decision-making before responsible studio learning.

Does Train 2 Tattoo qualify me to tattoo clients?+

No. A completion record is not a tattoo licence, BBP certification, medical qualification or practical competency award. Human-skin work belongs within a legitimate studio pathway with appropriate supervision and local compliance.

What should a tattoo apprentice learn first?+

Drawing comes first. Bloodborne-pathogen and infection-control knowledge must then precede machine theory or powered training-media practice. Practical progression should be governed by an experienced mentor and reputable studio.

Can I learn tattooing at home with this course?+

Train 2 Tattoo does not teach people to tattoo clients at home. Synthetic skin can support limited mentor-guided exercises, but it does not reproduce living skin, healing or professional studio conditions.
